Author Reading - Jan Fearnley is a multi-award winning author/illustrator. She has won the AOI gold Award in 2002 for "Mr Wolf and the Three Bears", and an Oppenheim Portfolio Gold Award for "A Perfect Day for it". Jan's passion is instilling a love of early literacy and she loves to promote story writing and illustrating with the many children she runs workshops with.
Story Telling - Sheila Kinninmonth; Interactive Storyteller
Folk and fairy tales, travellers yarns, ghost stories, myths, and legends from Scotland. Discover the magic of these bewitching stories told in the true tradition of oral storytelling.
St. Mungo and the Fish - A Short Performance
The enchanting story of St Mungo, is told by the monk who found Mungo and his mother by the shores of Culross. Set to music, directed by Anna Tinline and beautifully performed by students from Edinburgh Acting School.
Drama Workshops - Two groups for: 3 - 6 yrs and 7 - 10yrs led by Kristy Halliday, Edinburgh Acting School.

The band initially started out with Daniel Wilmanski (Guitar/Vocals) Conor Finlay (Bass) and Jack Connelly (Drums). After a few months of playing and getting into things we got together a five-song set of our own stuff and started gigging. Then Frazer Jones joined and that gave the all-round sound that we've needed.
Willie Logan (3.30pm - 4.30pm)
Edinburgh born guitarist Willie Logan has played in bands since his teens and became a professional musician after leaving full time education. In 1997 he made the final of Guitarist magazines Guitarist of the Year competition at Wembley.
Apart from writing and recording Willie currently enjoys touring solo or with his band. Whichever format of concert you watch him in, the show is captivating and always full of surprises.
Big River (4.30pm - 5.30pm)
The man in black is back in the guise of Big River.
This band of Cash devotees travel the land keeping
Johnny's flame burning bright.

Shameless (5.30pm - 6.30pm)
"We are without shame!"
Shameless formed in August 2010, the cajon drum gives the band distinction, an authentic skiffle sound regardless of the source or vintage of the material they choose to play. Celtic Twist (6.30pm - 7.30pm)
Now based in South Ayrshire after spending some 24 years on the continent where they performed extensively in various formations. Phil Holland: Clarsach (Irish Harp,Celtic Harp), Fiddle and Dave Palmley (Guitar, Vocals. Expect: Up-beat jigs and reels and Soul deep mellow ballads.
The Deal (7.30pm - 8.30pm)
Heavily influenced by Rory Gallagher's first band Taste and there approach to improvisation, their material is ever played the same way twice. The Deal's set is comprised of blends of original material that roots into a foundation of the blues. They are a LIVE band whose ENERGY & EMOTION define the way they sound and who they are.
Cow Cow Boogie (8.30pm - 10.30pm)
Are an Edinburgh band who specialise in playing 1940s/1950s R&B, Swing & Jump Blues, that'll get your feet tappin' and the party started. Musical influences are very diverse ranging from Tex Williams to Varetta Dillard and together our sound is unique. Filling the dance floors at the Viva Las Vegas weekender.
Our 45" Vinyl Single and CDs are on route worldwide and will be available at the festival.

Coro Alba "Arias from the Operas"
Sunday 18th August, 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Perform opera, operetta, songs from the shows, Gilbert and Sullivan, Scottish songs and songs by popular composers including Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, Ivor Novello, Irving Berlin and Cole. The Coro Alba quintet Providing a symbiotic instrumental backdrop to the singers this group of Scotland's finest classical musicians has been gathered together especially for this year's Culross Festival.
Performance takes place on the terrace of south facing gardens of 17th century Culross Abbey House, which enjoys spectacular views over the River Forth. Bring a picnic!

Hardwood & Eve McKay

Hardwood - A blend of ambient guitar riffing and melodic hooks over complex jazz structuring make this partnership absorbing entertainment. Material is mainly built around Ian Haddow's thoughtful song writing is complemented by Duncan Woods own interpretation of Ian's work.
Eve McKay - A singer/songwriter from Bon'ess writing songs since the age of 14. Eve McKay now focuses on developing her craft as a solo performer. Her mesmerizing voice enchants and The Abbey will provide the perfect venue for her debut at the festival.
