Dear Festival Goers

Once again Culross Festival has produced an exciting programme of events with music at the heart of it, using the unique venues in our historic village. New for 2013 is our 'Children's Book Fayre' with plenty of fun and entertainment for all the family.

The music begins on Thursday 15 August with our Opening Concert in Culross Abbey featuring songs through the ages in the company of the Culross Festival Choir.

Friday sees us dancing on the Village Green (thankfully in a marquee!) in the excellent company of 'Shamanic' and 'The Jiggers' ceilidh bands - supper is included.

Saturday starts with the fabulous Children's Book Fayre with authors, story tellers, and dramatic happenings. The settings include the historic Palace and Town House.

Meanwhile the Bands will be setting up for Saturday's big event, the 'Gig on the Green'. The main stage will host SEVEN great bands from far and wide, in this musical spectacular running from 2.30 to 10.30.

On Sunday we hit the high notes with our ever-popular Outdoor Opera in the beautiful setting of the Abbey House garden. Be inspired by 'Arias from the Operas' sung by Scotland's best young singers, and soak up the Scottish Glyndebourne experience with your own posh picnic in the grounds.

The Festival is rocked to its Finale in Culross Abbey by the musical talents of 'Hardwood' and 'Eve McKay'.

We are sure you will find plenty to enjoy in this exciting Festival in a unique setting.
