The Falcons
The Falcons first formed as a group in late 1960 in the Dunfermline area and Trevor, the only remaining member of that first group joined in early 1961 as lead vocalist, sadly drummer Pete died of cancer.
Since then the group has undergone numerous changes, not only in members but in names as well! However, when Davie Porterfield joined in 1996, it was then decided to revert to the original name "The Falcons".
The band, well known throughout Central Scotland as a 'Rock Covers' band has recently put together a sixties music show called - 'The Sixties Experience’ – with music from artists such as, The Hollies, The Fortunes, Credence Clearwater Revival, The Searchers, Roy Orbison, The Small Faces and many, many more; the emphasis being on classic harmonies.
The show has been a great success – "after all we've the best decade in music to choose from" says Trevor – and the band is now planning to take it further afield to new and larger audiences.
The band will also continue to play their first love – Rock Covers – of artists including Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, Foreigner, Eagles etc. wherever and whenever they can !
